About Course

Importance of IPC course:
Infection prevention and control (IPC) is essential for all healthcare providers (HCPs), particularly where the working environment or work activities could put employees and those around them at risk of infection.

This includes those working in healthcare, in close contact with patient, and those involved in the cleaning and disinfection of patient’s environment or patient care equipment.

Infections can be easily spread, but by understanding the correct steps to take, the risk of their occurrence can be both prevented and controlled.

About this Course:
This online “pre-recorded” course of infection prevention and control (IPC) which consists of videos demonstration and presentations, explaining essential IPC practices. It gives orientation of IPC practices.
It also covers the Standard Infection Control Precautions, How to break the Chain of Infection, Best Practices in Hand Hygiene and Use of PPEs, Methods of Cleaning and Disinfection, Cough Etiquettes and Healthcare Waste Management.

Duration of course:
This course consists of 03 hours.
