Overview
Dr. Raza graduated from Quaid-e-Azam Medical College and Glasgow Caledonian University, UK. Following his fellowship in Virology, he served as a Consultant with the Indus Hospital and Health Network, focusing on AMR surveillance, microbiology lab capacity building, and the teaching and training of healthcare professionals in infection prevention and control until 2023. His expertise includes developing and validating viral molecular diagnostic assays for COVID-19, hepatitis viruses, transfusion-transmitted infections, and other viral diseases.
Dr. Raza is a Certified Professional in Bio risk Management and Biosecurity Management, accredited by the International Federation of Biosafety Associations (IFBA). He also received the Global AMR Industry Alliance Award for AMR Surveillance in Pakistan.
