Overview
Trained in the field of Urology Dr Asad did his FCPS Urology from Pakistan Institute of Medical Sciences (PIMS), Islamabad, in 2003 and worked as a Consultant Urologist for almost 5 years after which he joined the Kidney and Pancreas Transplant Program at King Faisal Specialist Hospital & Research Center Riyadh KSA, one of the premier organizations in Solid Organ transplant and Quaternary care center in the region.
He holds 18 years of experience in the field of Urology and Kidney transplantation with an exclusive experience of Kidney and pancreas transplant, of more than 13 years, including adult and pediatric, living and deceased donor kidney transplants.
He served as Kidney and Pancreas Transplant Surgeon from November 2008 till February 2018 in the Department of Kidney & Pancreas Transplantation (Organ Transplant Center), at King Faisal Specialist Hospital and Research Centre, Riyadh, Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.
Dr Asad Bashir Joined Pakistan Kidney & Liver Institute and Research center in March 2018 and established the Renal Transplant Unit where living related renal transplants are being performed on regular basis and are one of the few centers in the country where Minimally invasive surgery on Kidney donors is being performed.
