Overview
Dr Irfan Ahmed is a pioneering Researcher and a distinguished Consultant Surgeon renowned for merging surgical excellence with groundbreaking medical research. He earned his MD at the University of Leeds, conducting pioneering research on cold liver preservation funded by the Royal College of Surgeons of England. He completed his higher surgical training in Mid Trent and also served as a Consultant HPB Surgeon at NHS Grampian. He has held academic positions at the University of Aberdeen and Robert Gordon University and also served on the Court of Examiners for RCSEng and JCIE. He has a rich research background, with around 200 peer-reviewed publications and over 250 presentations at national and international conferences. He has received numerous awards and taught advanced laparoscopic skills and innovative techniques like Virtual Scarless surgery internationally.
