Overview
He graduated from Dow Medical College Karachi.
He has received fellowship training in gastroenterology from SIUT and was awarded FCPS Gastroenterology in 2014. He then completed his Two (2) years fellowship in Transplant Hepatology at Shifa International Hospital. Dr Butt also worked as Honorary Fellow in the Institute of Liver Study, Kings College Hospital London.
He was working as a Consultant Gastroenterology/ Hepatology at Maroof International Hospital Islamabad before joining PKLI as a Consultant Hepatology
Dr Butt has experience in the workup and management of more than 500 living donor liver transplants and is involved in several research projects published in national and international journals.
Area of Expertise
- His practice covers a broad range of gastro-intestinal diseases with a particular emphasis on liver diseases including Liver transplantation in acute on chronic liver failure, Liver transplantation in HCC and Post liver transplant management
